Happy publication day Lilo Moore! ππΎπ€π
Such a fabulous fun read that was right up my street! A lifelong fan of all things Eurovision this book ticked so many boxes for me for things that I enjoy in a book! Great characters, sparkling connections and music, it was a real page turner!
My review follows the book blurb.
Itβs available on Kindle Unlimited.
Book π blurb π€
The song contest is hotting up, on and off the stage!
Rose writes twee pop, smiles a lot, and believes in magic and rainbows. When the cheesy love song she wrote is chosen for the European Song Contest, her luck seems to be turning around β especially when a chance encounter leads to the hottest one-night stand of her life. Itβs almost too bad sheβll never see him again.
But then Rose discovers it wasnβt a chance encounter. The hot German DJ with the sexy deep voice is her rival for song contest glory.
Grumpy Emil is incredibly talented and the song he spins with his sister could be a winner, even if he doesnβt appreciate the playful spirit of the contest. As the continent falls in love with Rose and Emilβs competitive banter on social media, they must hide their history from the press or risk losing credibility β and a future songwriting career.
With an anonymous gossip out to ridicule the colourful contestants and a plot to undermine European public broadcasting bubbling under the shiny surface, Rose must be strong in the face of criticism and stand up for everything the contest means to her.
If this Canadian girl can save the contest, maybe she can believe that her feelings for Emil are the real deal.
My π€π€π€π€π€ review
I absolutely love the Eurovision Song Contest so this book really caught my eye and I was excited to read it!
I found it extremely enjoyable and entertaining, the characters had so much chemistry, and it was intriguing to see the sparks fly between them.
Rose was so likeable, her enthusiasm for the contest and her love for the spirit of the show was very infectious.
I liked the mystery of who was gossiping and sharing the posts on social media, it added extra interest to an already thrilling read.
It has its spicy moments, which worked well with the characters and made their relationship exciting and addictive to read.
All in all a great story that has real potential for a film to be made maybe at some time.
Definitely douze points from me!
